Families concerned with affording the full cost of attending St. Paul’s School are strongly encouraged to apply. We will work with you to ensure that what can seem like a confusing and difficult process is actually a simple step-by-step endeavor.

  • Families with an annual domestic household income up to $125,000 generally qualify for full financial aid towards tuition.

  • Families with an annual domestic household income up to $250,000 generally pay less than 10% of their income toward tuition per year.

  • Our financial aid packages meet full demonstrated need – no gaps between what we determine to be your need and our financial aid award.

  • We use only grants to meet financial need; there are no loans in our packages.

  • Tuition remains frozen at $62,000 for the 2022–23 school year.

We are committed to making St. Paul's School an affordable option for families. In the 2020-21 academic year alone, we awarded $12 million in financial aid to over 200 students.

Applying for Financial Aid


Here's what you need to know to apply:

  • Students seeking financial aid must apply at the time of application for admission.
  • A student who enrolls without a financial aid package can be eligible to apply for aid in future years only if they have experienced a significant change in circumstances.
  • Financial aid is not available for families with pre-existing needs that were not disclosed at the time of initial admission.
  • St. Paul’s will notify you of your admission and financial aid award at the same time. All of the required financial aid application materials must be submitted by the appropriate deadlines. We cannot guarantee that a qualified applicant will receive financial aid if the deadlines are not met.
  • If there are any special circumstances not addressed in your application that you would like us to consider, please send a letter addressed to Tim Caryl-Klika, Senior Associate Dean of Admission / Director of Financial Aid, with details. For your convenience, you may send the letter via email to tcarylklika@sps.edu.

  • Step One: Inquire

    Please fill out the admission online inquiry form. Once completed, a packet of additional information about St. Paul’s School will be sent to you.
  • Step Two: Apply (November 1 to January 15)

    Starting on November 1, you may begin your application at sssandtadsfa.force.com. For international students, go to www.solutionsbysss.com/parents/apply/international-applicants. Click on the prompt to begin your Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). You will be given a username and password that will allow you to return to your PFS at a later date before submitting it. Your information will be secure. St. Paul's School code is 6886.

    After submitting the PFS, you will be given instructions about submitting additional documentation. Please upload copies of the following documents to SSS:

    • IRS Form 1040 for 2021
    • All IRS Schedules for 2021 (if applicable)
    • W-2 and/or 1099 forms for 2021
    • Corporate returns and/or K-1s for 2021 (if applicable)
    • NON-U.S. RESIDENTS must provide official Income/Asset Verification Forms for 2021 such as foreign tax returns or wage statements

    If you are unable to apply online, please contact our office.
