2022 Season Outlook

With a new season comes excitement and positive challenges. The 2022 version of the SPS Boys Varsity soccer team is ready to commit their full energy, passion and skill as they look to the season ahead.

The squad will be led by midfield co-captains Cohen Williams ‘23 and backs Cooper Bailey ’23 and James Shepard ’23. Fortunately for the club there are a good number of returning experienced players who will be critical to the success of the team this fall. They include goalkeeper Sean Jang ’23, backs, Randy Fu ’25, Jack Wolfram ’23 and Spencer Kirby ’23, midfielders, Kaka Peng ‘23, Ben Thompson ’23, Harry Scott ’24, Teddy Fang ’23 and Brandon Cho ’24 and forwards, Marcelo Lacombe-Franca ‘23, and Bryce Terry ’23.

The club welcomes nine newcomers to the team; goalkeeper Kristof Lovegren ’25, midfielders, Sky Hong ’23, Michael Nechipurenko ’24, Patrick Cooley ’24, and Lucas Miller ’24 and backs, Declan Schweizer ‘24, Colter Sienkiewicz ‘24, Gavin Nestler ‘24 and Blake Truchon ’26. The contributions of this young group will provide depth for the program.
