  • After graduating ten 6th Formers and having an abbreviated 2020 season, the SPS field hockey team is excited to have a full schedule and welcome six new players to the team: Alex Butulis ‘23, Kaitlyn McKinnon ‘23, Breanna Ricker ’23, Parker Hanson ‘25, Caroline Humber ’25, Caroline Frost ’25 and Arabella Perry ‘25.  Led by captains, Jenna Malone ’22 and Lilly Truchon ’22, the team is sure to be inclusive, united, and hardworking. Returning on attack are competitors Zoe Demers ‘22, Gracie DeSimone ’23, Tessa Demain ’23 and Cami Bell ‘24. Smart and fast, they will be complemented by a talented newcomer McKinnon, and our two new feisty 3rd Formers Humber and Frost. Converting from attack to midfield, our talented Truchon will complement Zoe Carr ’22 with excellent passing skills. Adding finesse and grit are newcomers Butulis and Perry. Holding down the backfield are the Hanson sisters, Ellie ‘22 and Parker, Alison Jankowski ‘24, and first-time field player, Charlotte Wensley ‘24. Muriel Mercer ‘23 converted from attack to defense to compliment the line-up. Malone adds incredible versatility sparking the line-up with her communication and hustle. Brand new to the sport of field hockey, Ricker will step in the net. Tough as nails, she will bring her hockey skills to the field. Temporarily sidelined with injury, Sam Moyer ‘24 and Eliza Ekstrand ’24 will hopefully be back in action soon!  The team looks forward to a fun-filled competitive season!
