Liz Robbins received a B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1983. Her career in the field of employee benefits and communications began at Boston-based Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation, and subsequently included corporate and consulting positions at Alexander & Alexander Consulting Group, The New York Hospital, Goldman Sachs, Sun Life of Canada, and Abt Associates.
A prolific and dedicated volunteer, Liz has been especially active in her children’s schools, including two years on the Northfield Mt. Hermon Parent Council. She has also served as a chair of the Wellesley Mothers’ Forum, assistant coach with Wellesley Youth Soccer, a member of the Wellesley Service League, and as a volunteer with Summer Search Boston. Currently, she is on the board of directors of The Cambridge Cambodia School Project, chapter chair for the AFS-USA intercultural program, regional selection committee chair for the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) program, a volunteer with The Max Warburg Courage Curriculum, and a member of the board of Wightman Tennis Center.
Liz’s service to SPS is particularly noteworthy. She has served as a form agent (1989-94 and 2004-14), a main agent (1994-99 and 2021-present), a form director (1999-2004 and 2014-19), treasurer and fund chair (2002-04), a member of the Alumni Association Executive Committee (2002-04 and 2014-20), and as SPS Alumni Association president (2017-20).
Her son, Douglas O. “Doug” Robbins ’17, is an SPS graduate. Liz lives in Wellesley, Mass.
