Meyer Scholarship
South Carolina
Established in 2012 by Austin and Lane Meyer of Columbia, S.C., the Meyer Scholarship will be awarded to as many as four South Carolina students, preferably one in each form, to help them attend St. Paul's School. The scholarship will provide partial or even full payment of tuition and fees for eligible students, with criteria and amount of award determined at the discretion of the School.
In some cases, a Meyer Scholarship may also provide for the payment of School-related expenses, such as travel to and from the School for recipients and their families, School-sponsored trips, summer enrichment opportunities, a laptop computer, books, supplies, equipment, and a small stipend.
A recipient's Meyer Scholarship is eligible for renewal each year if the applicable criteria continue to be met.
ELIGIBILITY
To be awarded a Meyer Scholarship, a student must be a resident of South Carolina and meet the academic standards and other qualifications for admission to the School. A current Meyer Scholar who ceases to be a South Carolina resident before the scholarship is renewed will no longer be eligible for the award unless eligibility is expressly approved by the School.
SELECTION PROCESS
All applicants from South Carolina will be considered for the Meyer Scholarship. There is no separate application process. Finalists for the Meyer Scholarship must apply for financial aid. Recipients will be selected by the St. Paul's School Admission Office; they will be notified on March 10. The School will give preference to families who are in need of financial assistance or for whom financial considerations are critical factors in making educational decisions.
