David A. Fleischner received a B.A. in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University in 1995. He currently works as Executive Vice President / COO for Foreign Operations at Asplundh Tree Expert LLC as well as serving on its Board of Directors. David joined the family business in 1998, the youngest of the third generation, and spent nine years working in a family training program throughout the United States and Australia, returning to the corporate office in Philadelphia in 2007. During his 23 years at Asplundh, he has been involved in many operational aspects of vegetation management, utility construction, and landscape businesses.
David is a Co-Chair of the Ambassadors Board at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia and is involved with Mural Arts Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. He has served in board leadership capacities for several industry associations (Past President – Utility Arbor Association; current Vice-Chair of the Tree Care Industry Association).
The father of Caroline ’23 and Margaret ’20, David lives in Haverford, Pa. with his wife Julia and their cavalier, Wally. In his spare time, David enjoys traveling and skiing with his family, watching his children play racket sports, reading, and photography.
