Big Red move to 2-0 on season

On Saturday afternoon, the St. Paul’s School varsity boys hockey team traveled to Tilton School to
take on the “Rams” for their second straight Lakes Region contest of the year and second game of
the 2023 - 2024 season. When the last second ticked off the clock, the “Pelicans” skated off the ice
with a 7 - 2 win. The game was much closer than the final score indicates, however. The “Big Red”
had a two goal lead after the first period, but the score could have been much different if not for
Fourth Form goaltender Blake Truchon’s (South Burlington, VT) stellar play between the pipes; the
“Delphian” club member stopped thirty-eight of forty Tilton shots. Several St. Paul’s School skaters
had multiple points in the game. Anderson Kilbourne ̕26 (Duxbury, MA) led all scorers with two
goals and an assist. Rutland, Vermont native Patrick Cooley̕ ̕25 had a goal and two assists, and Lyme,
New Hampshire assistant captain Jack Stadheim ̕24 earned “the playmaker award” with three assists.
Other notable contributions came from Lino Viau ̕24 (Los Angeles, CA) with two goals, Harry
Dermody ̕25 (Bedford, NH) with a goal and an assist, and Conley Bohan ̕24 (Concord, New
Hampshire) with two assists.

The “Pelicans resume action Wednesday afternoon when they travel over to Saxtons River, VT to
take on the always tough “wildcats” at 4:30 pm. We hope to see you there!
