Big Red Girls Hockey open with win at Brewster

The St. Paul’s girls hockey team earned a 5-0 decisive victory versus Brewster on the road. Charlie Vogue ’25 scored the first goal of the game from an assist from Maude Niemann ’25. The Big Red kept rolling, and Cami Bell ’24 scored an unassisted goal to finish the first period. St. Paul’s started the second period confident and energized. Ingrid Cassidy ’25 and Erin Flaherty ‘27 assisted another goal from Cami Bell early in the second period. The team played excellent team defense on the penalty kill and successfully kept Brewster off the scoreboard throughout the game. Maude Niemann added to the Big Red’s lead with a goal from D pair Gabby Martinello ’24 and Jade Hill ’25 at the end of the second period. The team played shut down defense in the third period. Brooklyn Godisak was outstanding in net during the third period and earned her first career shutout. The Big Red start their season with a win and are excited for the season.
