GXC wins Saturday tri meet

With 26 points, GXC beat both Austin Prep (41) and Dexter Southfield (65) at the Reading Town Forest, Austin Prep’s home course.  Aedyn Kourakos (20:56) was the first runner to cross the finish line winning by almost 30 seconds. Maeve O’Connell (21:20) came in third, Olivia Blanchard (21:49) finished fifth, Katy Scott (22:06) took seventh, Mackenzie Barrette (22:28) came in tenth, Ali Cabot (22:35) was eleventh, and Brooks Boyd (22:36) finished twelfth. The following girls achieved PRs:  Mackenzie Barrette, Sophia Zhang (24:09), Nausicaa Chu (25:32), Ari Rubiralta Kunze (26:38), Lily Campbell (27:10), Ally Duardo (29:03), and Gabriela Huerta (30:07). Next Saturday, October 28, GXC travels to Exeter for the last regularly scheduled race before the Lakes Region Championship at Holderness on November 1 and the NEPSTA Championship at Loomis Chaffee November 11.
