SPS Loses to Nobles in Failing Light

SPS Varsity Field Hockey played an evening game at Nobles this Friday. SPS dominated play in the first half of the game with the pace controlled by confident passing and possession from the backfield. A Nobles goal called back fired up the Big Red for more chances on net. Nobles scored on a corner in the fourth quarter, and just minutes later the officials ended the game early at 0-1 due to concern for player safety in low lighting conditions. Typically a tough game for the SPS schedule, SPS should be proud of holding Nobles off for so long and controlling the majority of the game so effectively. Standout performances from Charlotte Wensley ‘24, Parker Hanson ‘25, and Ally Martiniello ‘24 in net with 9 saves.
